Eric A. Kimmel is a prolific children's author. He has written several Anansi the spider books. One of our favorites is Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock. Mr. Kimmel encourages children to read. He wants my students to each read (listen to) 20 books in October which gives us a goal of 520 books since there are 26 kids in our Kindergarten room.
Dianne de Las Casas is another author who encourages students to read. She is a local author.
